School won't allow students to wear watches

My school actually won't let us wear watches! Can you believe that, as ridiculous as it may sound. They think it's some kind of hazard and distraction. Here's there case: Suppose someone hits their arm back, and someone gets whacked with a watch (like that'll ever really happen) or they think people will somehow get harmed by a watch. Their other scenario is that watches are too much of a distraction, like it they beep or make noise or something like that. It is so messed up. They added these stupid rules like last year. Barely any of the cheap clocks in our school work either, so it clearly sucks. The clocks are built into the wall, but something happened and they all broke, so they got some cheap free clocks to put on the wall, so now there are two clocks in every room, that usually both aren't right. I think it's crazy they won't let us wear watches! We're (well, most of us) are mature enough to wear a watch for goodness sakes! They need to focus on other issues rather than a pointless dress code which everyone defies anyway. I'll be out of that school soon anyway, and I'll even be able to actually wear a watch. Does anyone else find that dumb?

That is really dumb. my school doesn't have any clocks in it. there are only clocks in the halls, not the class rooms. ~~~~ i think that is ny with the flip flops, how girls were triping!!

at my old school we're not supposed to chew gum because its a choking hazard.. havent had a case yet .. but it can happen they say.

That sucks a lot. I like my watch. My school isnt that bad except they changed the rules at the middle school in our district. They banned flip flops because girls were tripping on the stairs .

hey heres a thought do any of the staff and administration wear watches during school. this prob won't work but you know if they are there just being hypicritical. if they wear watches they have to make a decision of taking it off with the rest of you or let the school wear watches again. I'll get back to ya
