NEED HELP

Hey! I'm 13 years old and I want to get my belly button pierced. My mom won't let me because she doesn't trust me that I'll clean it right. She says I have to wait until I'm 18. I can pay for it but money's no problem and it's not a problem that I can get an infection, though that is kind of a problem. She just doesn't want me to have it pierced. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can persuade her to let me get it pierced? Does anyone know how to let her let me get it pierced? I would appreciated it. Thanks!!!

I'm exactally in your place too!! My mom won't let me have it pierced b/c she's afraid of me getting an infection but lots of my friends have theirs done and it looks so awesome! The I kinda realized that I just wanted one because it was popular and all the celebs were getting there's done. I still think it looks sexy but I just gave up trying to persuade her because our moms are just trying to keep us safe

who cares? its not as good as you think. you cant even let people touch it for 6 weeks, and you cant lie on your stomach for awhile, because it you do, it will bleed and get infected or irritated

ok chick i'm 13 too...and i've been there and done that...and they dont give in!! the best thing to do is to get a clip on (i got mine for Clairs) and put on your belly button...it looks pretty real and i've had tons of people comment me on it!

OMG...There are too many of these articles of gurls that aren't aloud to get their belly button pieced and asking what to tell their mom so they can get it. If your mom says no once she will say no again, no matter how much you try to persuade them. Just wait until you are 18 and are aloud to get whatever you want done. You know how the saying goes "Mom always knows best". Maybe it is a good thing that she is saying that you aren't aloud to get it done, because maybe you won't like it anymore, maybe it won't suit you, you can even get infected so bad that it makes you sick. I can't complain because I'm 14 and my mom let me get it done but that is because my mom lets me get whatever body modification I want but that is because she gets tattoos. All I have to say is just wait maybe she will change her mind as you get older or maybe you will change your mind as you get older. Just give it a lil bit of time, time is the best thing not persuading people.
