Go With Her or Against Her?
My mom is always telling me that a shirt is too tight, so I’ll pick out a shirt and then she’ll tell me I need to get it in medium. But I’m a small, and if I get a medium size shirt it is too big and baggy and it doesn’t show off what I’ve got. Not that it’s too much, I just want to be more confident about my upper body. I mean, if I wear big baggy medium sized shirts then it looks like I’m trying to hide myself, and I don’t know what to do.  My friend suggested that I switch the hangers to a medium hanger but have the small shirt on it, but my mom always checks the shirt tag.  Even if I buy the shirt with a friend and then bring it home she’ll check to make sure it fits alright, and then if it doesn’t she insists that I have to return it to get a bigger size.  What should I do?

If u can buy clothes and hide them do that, then change when you get to school or leave the house wearing them with a hoodie over that you can take off later.

Whoops, I didn't read the last bit of the article carefully. So you have bought shirts with friends and she still made you take them back? That's not right. If it's your money, then you can do whatever you want with it...I really can't help much with that, sorry. Aside from sneaking the shirts into the house and not letting her see them until months later, there isn't much that you can do.

Hmm...that is tough. Parents can be like that about clothes, unfortunately. The only thing I can think of would be to go to the mall with your friends and buy your own shirts there without your mom knowing.Once you bring them home (and "lose" the receipt), there really isn't much that she would be able to do about it. If I buy something and my mom doesn't like it, she just doesn't care and says "hey, it's your money".

Hey, I have the same problem too but its alittle diffrent. It's not my mom, its my dad! Haha I know.
He tells me I should get a M T-Shirt, and not small. It drives me crazy, but he's a good guy Ah, sometimes he does not mind Well, I :)d your article, most girls have that problem, but most of my T-Shirts are Small and Medium to be fair.

Hmmm...I really don't know what to tell you. Sometimes my mom will tell me to get a larger size just so I can grow into it, but she never hassles me about it being too tight...If I were you I'd probably just ignore her and get whatever shirt I want anyways, but I don't know if that would create conflict or not with your mom. I think as long as it doesn't show cleavage or your midriff, then a tight shirt is ok. Well I probably wasn't much help but that's a difficult situation...
