How do I make it work well?

I completely adore those cute little icons. My favourites are 'My Little Pony', 'Hello Kitty', 'Rainbow Brite', 'The Care Bears' and 'miffy'. I think they're really cute and I want to bring them into my dress sense by getting a few cute t-shirts with them on.

However, I'm not quite sure how to make the look work. I want a stylish and original look and I'd hate to look childish in them! I've found some really nice ones on 1980's t-shirt websites and I really want them. Does anyone have any advice on how I can make the look work? Which shoes, bags and pants/skirts should I wear with them? Or should I not bother at all? Thank you for reading this.

take some advice from the ultimate fashion icon-carrie bradshaw. in the satc "pick-a-little talk-a-little" she wears a minnie mouse t-shirt, but pairs it with a blazer and heels so she looks put together, classy, but -jackie

Hello..thankyou everybody for your advice..I have a sesame street tee which I got off the internet and a Miffy one which I found at a supermarket! I just wear them with jeans and I bought one of those black studded belts..it all looks pretty fetching =] good websites are... www.truffleshuffle.com (thats if you live in the UK like me) or www.80stees.com. Theres a few more I think if you search for them...theyre kinda pricey (well in my books they are) but the stuff is so it's worth it!

I like the idea to? I wear those shirts as well I wear them with jeans or jogging pants. At t-shirts shops at the mall I sure they have that is where I get mine.

If you want some inspiration, check out some of Jeffree Star's pictures. He has a few Hello Kitty things (a jacket and a necklace that I've seen), but still looks grown-up and classy with them.

Hey! I those shirts too, I have a strawberry shortcake, Mupits, and Sesame street. I usually where jeens with them and if I had one I would where one of those black belts that are either studded or has the duble holes in them. I don't really carry a purse so I can't to much on that one, but maybe a simple black one...depends on the shirt color. umm...I can't think of anything else, but could you maybe send me those websites you were talking about? Thanks.
