Hey!! I have the biggest shoe fetish and I am considering taking up shoe design for my career. I was just wondering if anybody has done the course/s or knows of anybody who has done it. What is involved and how competitive can it possibly be? And how far they have gone in the industry?

I am currently doing my HSC and I am putting all the effort I have into my major textiles project! I would have loved to have made a pair of shoes and I would like to know if anybody has done so for their major work!!

interesting...i was thinking abt shoes the other day and wat it wud be like to make one...to me though i think many ppl design shoes for the style but how many considers comfort? cus many shoes i see are really appealing to the eye...but rather uncomfortable for the feet...so if u can get both into one that'll be ...i guess u'll need to start in some line of fashion...maybe a fashion degree...and then u can develop ur interest in that specific area....yeah or u can call a shoe store that creates shoes and inquire abt it...all the best!

try looking for an internship in a shoe company whose work and business ethic you admire. and then work up from there. good luck!
