Netball Skirts

I have a question about netball uniforms. For those of you who don't know netball is a bit like basketball but is generally only played by girls. I play in a team in Australia and this year we have been wearing the bodysuit type, which is tight on top with a pleated skirt. I'm a little bit taller than the other players and play GD. All the uniform skirts are really really short, but mine is even shorter - in fact, it doesn't quite cover my bum properly, and so of course everyone sees everything, particularly when I run and jump or if my knickers ride up. Also, there are often boys who are spectating the game, I think just to perve on the girls (not just me). Some of them sit on the ground at the side of the court so they could definitely see up my skirt. And the skirt is too short to wear after the game - last week I went out with my friends after netball, but I was really selfconcious walking around the city and even thogh I pulled my skirt down it was too short. Does anyone else have this same experience? How long are your netball skirts? Do guys come to perve on you? I'm just wondering.

I don't know... you can try to keep a hand on it as you run I guess?

Jillian, I do try to pull my skirt down when it flies up on me, but the problem is it's too short to really cover me properly, particularly when I'm running around or jumping.

Well, i've never played netball, but it cant be too hard to pull your skirt down when it does fly up on you.

I don't know anything about netball, but my best g/f is into tennis and plays on some teams back when she was in HS I checked out her tennis dress and tried it on and it was micro short and had no sewn in panty. I asked my g/f what she used, like dance panties or what? She shrugged and said, no just regular bikini undies. Then she said, all the girls do it, the dance panties get too . So I went to her match a few weeks later and oh wow... underwear showing everywhere! On every serve my g/fs dress would come up to completely expose her butt and the panties of course kind of sucked up a little. I told her about it and she just shrugged and said, well, I try to keep them down but it happens. Like you mention, lots of guys were watching tennis and I believe many of them were well aware these were NOT dance panties.

Hi i dont see what the peoblem in, i look forward o PE and to put my sports skirt on, as my school skirt is rather tight and after spending several hours each day in it if feels good being free. But you wont catch me in either shorts or trousers, as i said to myself when i was 10 that i would only wear skirts andhave done for the past 5 years. Skirts are what girls wear and im going to stick with it Jane

I just checked my post after a few days and noticed the replies. What are withes britches? - like bike pants? Anyway, they would be too long as my netball skirt only just covers my normal underwear (and then sometime only when it rides up). Yes, they really are that short. Michael's story sounds familliar, although I didn't realise these netball skirts were so ditracting.

I agree with you Sarah - I can't believe how short the netball skirts are. I'm a guy, so it's not like I'm complaining, but I often walk apst the netball courts, near my home, and the skirts are incredibly short. A lot of them show the girls' bum cheeks, particularly when the winds blowing, which is a bit of a distraction. What's more noticeable is in the shopping centre afterwards, how much shorter the netball skirts are than anything else. Anyway, I guess most girls must like to wear them.

Why not wear a pair of Witches Britches that match your skirt? Or, are they too long?
