I'm in a War Against My Hair!
I've been battling against my hair for the longest time now. People told me that cutting the ends would help because the ends were just burnt. But no... my hair still looks horrible. It's frizzy and always looks unbrushed. Sometimes I don't bother brushing it because it puffs up. I end up looiking like Claudio Sanchez from Coheed and Cambria (no joke).

Blow drying my hair and then flat ironing it works, but it curls up pretty fast. I can never get perfectly straight hair for more than a few seconds.

I haven't seen any nice hairstyles for wavy hair either. I want my hair permanently straight. I want to have one of those edgy, choppy haircuts, but unfortunately my hair is also very thin.

So yes, I need help. I need some advice on hair treatment and what hairstyles could possibly look nice and edgy with my wavy hair.

Well if your hair is naturally curly or near curly then its best if you keep that way i'm afraid, Straghtning will just burn your hair out, causing it to frizz like mad and then it will certainly get worse to even worse, Try going and ask for some advice from hairdressers and they may well give you plenty of idears to help you.
If it helps, keep using loads of hydrating conditioner and some hairspray when you want to keep in your haistyle, I really :) to have curly hair as you don't have to do much with it

Heyy! I also have TONS of frizz, curls, an waves in my hair, and to make it worse, it is wayyy to thick to straighten it! DO NOT STRAIGHTEN YOUR HAIR! It will damage it like CRAzY Check out the article i posted about this subject, i have experimented with my hairr soo much and i have found some AWESOMEE ways to work with my hair. check it out and replay to it!

first of all...have you colored or highlighted your hair a lot? that could be a big factor on why the ends don't want to live... if thats the case then there isn't anything you can do about it...you can try deep conditioning it (malibu treatments maybe) and that will probably help some but most likely it will be a temporary fix.
if your hair is healthy but the ends just get like that then you could be one of those people that just can't have long hair! unlucky i know but its possible! if your ends aren't split but they just get frizzy then a permanent relaxer may help some but there isn't a relaxer on the market that can make your hair super straight and smooth like you're hoping for.
for hair like yours just any straighten iron won't do the trick. like you said...it will be fine then start poofing up again. i reccommend a CHI flat iron... they aren't cheap but they will save you so much time with your hair. chi is the best flat iron out there...they have amazing professional grade ceramic plates that give your hair the amount of heat it needs to stay smooth and shinny all day! alot of chain salons off them...also stores like trade secrets and i think target even has them. ive also seen them on ebay (of course!)...if you buy one from there make sure it says CHI on the hinge and is by Farouk (ive seen a lot of fakes!). They will range from $110-160 so you might want to add it to your christmas list! they have a great warranty too...if you drop it and break it they'll replace it! how cool is that?! good luck!!!
