Guy wanting to wear a skirt
Hi, I think the fact that I'm a guy and would like to wear a skirt is not so unusual nowadays.  I've read several articles on the web including some on teenfx which suggests it's more common than is realised by some people.

The trouble is, although it might be excepted by some many will probably think it's strange and the skirt won't ever be considered as a unisex item.  Now I know there are kilts, but to me they look too bulky and clumsy to be a smart fashionable item.  I really would prefer the softer lighter fabric of a skirt.  The problem I face is that I keep on window shopping but can never find enough courage to actually go into a fashion shop and buy myself a skirt.  Also, as there are so many different types: mini, pencil, bubble, A-line, etc.  what would the best type be for a guy?  I'm slender build, about 5 feet 11 inches tall and thinking maybe a denim mini, but also I like the look of pencil skirts, but wouldn't want one too long.  Maybe about 17 to 20 inches in length.

I am in such a dilemma over this, and even if I managed to buy one, would I be brave enough to wear it out?  I guess I'll have to gain the courage if I really want to try a skirt.  Of course, I might decide I don't like wearing it after buying one, but at least I would have tried.  Better to have tried and failed then to never have tried at all.  I wonder if this applies to a guy wanting to wear a skirt though!?

I have finally got myself a skirt!!!! I was window shopping and found this great looking skirt in the window. In the end I walked into the shop and found the rack with the skirt on it in the various sizes. I was not brave enough to try it on in the shop, but had worked out before what size I was. It was so exciting taking the skirt up to the counter to buy. I couldn't wait to get home and try it on. It fits perfectly and I just :) wearing it!

The skirt is straight and short at about 15 inches, black with two short slits on the sides and a concealed zip fastener at the back. Not worn it out but would :) to try. Just need to pluck up the courage. However, it's so nice to wear around the house, and really comfortable. I would say not "clunky" like trousers. The material of the skirt is light and just sooooo great!!!!!! Might have to try others later.

Thanks for the encouragement, I might just try what you suggested. I'm still looking on fashion web sites and window shopping in town, but seriously thinking I need to go in and buy a skirt soon. I probably wont be brave enough to wear one outside, but who knows. Thanks for the positive comment, and I hope a do look okay in a skirt.

Hay friend, You can go to a second hand store and get you a simple skirt to wear just to see if you like it at all. I got mine and really like it. I don't wear it out becauce I just don't want to. If I wanted to I would. I bet you are cute and would look good in a skirt or dress. Get one and enjoy.
