I Really Want 2 Be A Model
Hi, My name is Megan and I've wanted to be a model for a long time. I recently got into a modelling comp for children aged 7 to 19 with a company called DeiselJeans, and I sent in two photos of myself and I got through!

I thought that this was great because I had never won one of these before, but the photoshoot was in London and I live in Stornoway. You had to pay your own way to London, and you needed to buy the photos (at least 10) for £50 each! So I couldn't go. I was really upset at that because it was going to cost over £1000 to do all that and I wasn't allowed. That's why I am trying my hardest now, so if anyone has any advice on how to become a model, could you please let me know??

Thank you, Megan

you need to watch America's Next Top Model!!! Of the many many things I've learned from that show, one of the major things is that if an "agent" or "modeling company" ever asks you for any kind of money up front, it is a scam. ANY KIND OF MONEY AT ALL. Because if they want to represent you, they are going to want to pay YOU because you will make them money being a part of their roster of models. Seriously, I can't stress this enough, because so many wanna-be models fall for that and get so royally screwed out of so much money because they want it so bad. Don't give up that desire, and keep your eyes open for those scammers. Good luck!

Your p hotoshoot sounded like a scam and I think you and your family have had a lucky break. Just think, if 20 lucky winners turned up they would be 20,000 the richer. Check out your telephone book and call some local model agencys and have some information sent to you. This would be a good start1 Good Luck and I hope your dream comes true!!
