Length of Shirts

Hey there. Does it matter how long guys' shirts should be? Girls what do you think? I like my shirts to come at the waist level because if they are any longer I think it looks bad, really bad.

Many of my shirts that I buy come from the Gap or Old Navy and have a banded bottom so I find those to look better if they are at waist level. I do like to wear low rise jeans so the shirts go just a little over the button of my jeans.

One pair of jeans are extra low rise and the shirts just reach the button. I am not a big guy and am in very good shape so it's not like I have a gut that would make wearing shirts like that look unattractive. Should my shirts be longer or are they ok the way I wear them?
