| I'm curious about why "Must Haves are a Big Deal." Is it the trends to fit in with the teenage life to avoid bullying activity? | |

I can agree to that, because I like to stay neat whenever I need to. Sometimes, people need me, so I need to not carry my lunch on my shirt. There's a difference between neat and something you "Must Have" in order to ction. I understand this time. When I was in school, things weren't the way it is today. I don't even know if there were fashion trends from Mid Seventies to Mid Eighties. People dressed similar to each other, in a way. Eighties god forbid seemed really psychedhelic...I thought people were on crack. Besides, it was ROCK ON! So no wonder...

ow wow! wait, you were actually agreeing? i'm surprised. i'm so used to seeing you say that you don't agree no matter what i say that i thought that said "i can't agree to that." i reread it after i posted though and saw that you did agree.
see, some people do go overboard on the whole fashion thing and it is stupid. they spend too much money and they are too obsessed about how they look to have sometimes. girls come to class all dressed up and they can't concentrate because they're worried about what they look like. but i don't see anything wrong with it as long as you don't go overboard. i like to dress up and look cute occasionally, like on weekends when i go out. but during the week mostly all i do is go to class and coach cheerleading, so i pretty much just wear shorts or jeans and a t-shirt.

Exactly...everyone's concentrated on their make-up when I'm driving...constantly looking at their hair. Half of the time I wonder if they'll kill someone. I remember the AllState commercial called those women "The Make-Up artist." All I've seen is that. Some people can look with some of the trends. From my point of view, It's "Apocalypse" for a girl with "ONE" mistake on her looks. When I went to college, ALMOST every girl at Virginia Tech gave me an excuse about the whole date bull crap I hear about. It must be what they like, but there could be some safety hazzards when it comes to looking in the mirror a lot. Like I said above, girls are always looking in the mirror fixing their hair or putting on make-up in a Motor Vehicle. I don't think that's a good thought. Obviously, make-up is more important than defensive driving. Their choices can affect them. Even what the girls do at your college (I'm used to saying girl than woman. I know the difference.) can affect their grades when they're always wondering how bad their looks are besides learning the courses to get a decent occupation. Would they rather be flipping burgers at McDonald's?

| i think a lot of them figure they will just look really pretty and meet some guy in college that actually pays attention in class and is going to be rich. but i think that's stupid. i'd rather not be dependant on someone. | |

| The same way here, except in the past. I usually don't worry about what a guy thinks of me. I worry about myself. I wear a pair of jeans and a t-shirt when I'm not in a uniform. | |
